What are letter dies?

Dies, also known as cutting dies, are a must-have accessory for your scrapbooking projects. They're metal parts that come in many shapes and sizes, including letters, which can be used as patterns to create shapes in paper or fabric in a matter of seconds. We design our dies in our Dijon offices. Because they are designed by enthusiasts, our dies are of the highest quality and meet practical requirements for your greatest pleasure!

Using letter dies, create words and texts in elegant, clean and crisp calligraphy, customizing your projects with originality and charm.

Letter and word dies can be used to create titles on your pages, mini albums and cards, or to address kind and gentle words with aestheticism and refinement, such as "Bisous", "Hello" and "Coucou", "Love", "Bonne fête", "Rien que pour toi".

To meet your scrap girl addict' desires, we offer letter dies adapted for each season. So, in winter, order our Christmas dies like our Christmas #2 model, or our Travel model from the Summer 2020 collection designed by Cathygel.

How do I use letter dies?

Letter dies are very easy to use if you have the right equipment. You need your letter dies and a cutting machine compatible with the size of your letters.

Take the (thin) wear plate, choose a paper and place it on top with the letter die, cutting side facing the paper. Then superimpose a new plate in sandwich fashion (thicker base plate). This should be thick enough to exert sufficient pressure for a clean, precise cut. If it's too thick, your sandwich won't fit through the cutting machine. Slide the assembly into the cutting machine. Turn the crank to apply pressure as you feed the sandwich through the machine. Your paper will emerge cut to shape. You've just made what we in the scrapbooking world call a die cut!
